Commencing this trip

Khayar Lake Trek is just an extended version of the Khopra Danda Trek aka Khopra Ridge Trek. But the route you take on this trip is slightly different. You will take the route via Ghandruk village which is considered to be less crowded. Khayar lake visit is just a day trip starting from Khopra and needs same day return after a short stay at the lake. The walk is often around 8 - 10 hours depending on your walking speed and rest time taken as short breaks.

For clear skies above the head and clear landscape visibility, spring and autumn time would be the best time to visit this place.
