Everest Region

Homeland to the different ethnic group of people, specially Sherpas, this region is the land of Mt. Everest, 8848m and many other high peaks. Local inhabitants here are friendly and helpful which makes the trekking in this region popular for legendary hospitality services. Although this region had challenges for the travelers in previous years, the locals have managed to build tea houses in possible short distances up to Ghorakshep.

This region is easily accessible with a short flight to Lukla from the capital city but for the travelers who have adequate time to explore Nepal and interest in learning the culture of both lower and upper Solukhumbu region, there is an option to start either from Jiri or from Dhap enjoying the less crowded trail.

It is suggested to plan a trip to this region during Spring (March-May) or Autumn (October - November). Domestic flights during Summer and Winter are adversely affected due to unfavorable weather resulting in flight postponements and cancellations.
